6.Rājā āha "kati nu kho, bhante nāgasena, bojjhaṅgā"ti?
|
King Milinda said: “Revered Nāgasena, how many factors of enlightenment are there?"
|
Царь молвил: «Почтенный Нагасена, сколько всего звеньев просветления?»

"Satta kho, mahārāja, bojjhaṅgā"ti.
|
“There are seven factors of enlightenment, sire.”66
|
– Семь, государь, звеньев просветления.
|
|
|
"Katihi pana, bhante, bojjhaṅgehi bujjhatī"ti?
|
“By how many factors of enlightenment does one become enlightened, sir?"
|
– И сколькими же звеньями просветления человек просветляется?
|
|
|
"Ekena kho, mahārāja, bojjhaṅgena bujjhati dhammavicayasambojjhaṅgenā"ti.
|
“By one factor of enlightenment, sire, the factor of investigation of phenomena.”
|
– Одним звеном просветления просветляется, государь: звеном всепросветления, называемым «разбор дхарм».
|

|
"Atha kissa nu kho, bhante, vuccanti 'satta bojjhaṅgā"'ti?
|
“Then why are seven factors mentioned, revered sir?"
|
– Почему же, почтенный, говорится о семи звеньях просветления?
|
|
|
"Taṃ kiṃ maññasi, mahārāja, asi kosiyā pakkhitto aggahito hatthena ussahati chejjaṃ chinditu"nti.
|
“What do you think about this, sire? If a sword has been put into a sheath and not taken in the hand, is it able to cut anything you wanted to cut with it?"
|
– Как ты полагаешь, государь: если меч лежит в ножнах, не взят в руку, может ли он что-либо разрубить?
|
|
|
"Na hi, bhante"ti.
|
“No, revered sir.”
|
– Нет, почтенный.
|
|
|
"Evameva kho, mahārāja, dhammavicayasambojjhaṅgena vinā chahi bojjhaṅgehi na bujjhatī"ti.
|
“Even so, sire, without the other six factors of enlightenment one does not become enlightened by the factor of investigation of phenomena.”
|
– Вот так же, государь, звеном всепросветления, называемым «разбор дхарм», без прочих шести звеньев просветления человек не просветляется.
|

"Kallosi, bhante nāgasenā"ti.
|
“You are dexterous, revered Nāgasena.”
|
– Прекрасно, почтенный Нагасена.
|
