77.Vuttañhetaṃ bhagavatā, vuttamarahatāti me sutaṃ –
§77. This was said by the Blessed One, said by the Arahant, so I have heard:
"Bhidurāyaṃ [bhindantāyaṃ (syā. pī. ka.)], bhikkhave, kāyo, viññāṇaṃ virāgadhammaṃ, sabbe upadhī aniccā dukkhā vipariṇāmadhammā"ti.
“Monks, this body falls apart; consciousness is subject to fading; all acquisitions are inconstant, stressful, subject to change.”
Etamatthaṃ bhagavā avoca.
[This is the meaning of what the Blessed One said.]
Tatthetaṃ iti vuccati –
[So with regard to this it was said:]
Ayampi attho vutto bhagavatā, iti me sutanti.
[This, too, was the meaning of what was said by the Blessed One, so I have heard.]
