Katamāni tīṇi? Which three?
Kāyasucaritaṃ, vacīsucaritaṃ, manosucaritaṃ – imāni kho, bhikkhave, tīṇi sucaritānī"ti. Bodily good conduct, verbal good conduct, mental good conduct. These are the three kinds of good conduct.”
Etamatthaṃ bhagavā avoca. [This is the meaning of what the Blessed One said.]
Tatthetaṃ iti vuccati – [So with regard to this it was said:]
"Kāyaduccaritaṃ hitvā, vacīduccaritāni ca; Having abandoned bodily misconduct, acts of verbal misconduct,

Ayampi attho vutto bhagavatā, iti me sutanti. [This, too, was the meaning of what was said by the Blessed One, so I have heard.]
