65.Vuttañhetaṃ bhagavatā, vuttamarahatāti me sutaṃ –
|
§65. This was said by the Blessed One, said by the Arahant, so I have heard:
|

|
"Tīṇimāni, bhikkhave, sucaritāni.
|
“Monks, there are these three kinds of good conduct.
|
|
|
Katamāni tīṇi?
|
Which three?
|
|
|
Kāyasucaritaṃ, vacīsucaritaṃ, manosucaritaṃ – imāni kho, bhikkhave, tīṇi sucaritānī"ti.
|
Bodily good conduct, verbal good conduct, mental good conduct. These are the three kinds of good conduct.”
|
|
|
Etamatthaṃ bhagavā avoca.
|
[This is the meaning of what the Blessed One said.]
|
|
|
Tatthetaṃ iti vuccati –
|
[So with regard to this it was said:]
|
|
|
"Kāyaduccaritaṃ hitvā, vacīduccaritāni ca;
|
Having abandoned bodily misconduct, acts of verbal misconduct,
|
|
|
Manoduccaritaṃ hitvā, yañcaññaṃ dosasaṃhitaṃ.
|
misconduct of mind, & whatever else is flawed,
|
|
|
"Akatvākusalaṃ kammaṃ, katvāna kusalaṃ bahuṃ;
|
not having done what’s not skillful, having done much that is,
|
|
|
Kāyassa bhedā sappañño, saggaṃ so upapajjatī"ti.
|
at the break-up of the body, the discerning one reappears in heaven.
|
|
|
Ayampi attho vutto bhagavatā, iti me sutanti.
|
[This, too, was the meaning of what was said by the Blessed One, so I have heard.]
|
|
|
