Katame tayo? Which three?
Kāmāsavo, bhavāsavo, avijjāsavo – ime kho, bhikkhave, tayo āsavā"ti. The effluent of sensuality, the effluent of becoming, the effluent of ignorance. These are the three effluents.”
Etamatthaṃ bhagavā avoca. [This is the meaning of what the Blessed One said.]

Ayampi attho vutto bhagavatā, iti me sutanti. [This, too, was the meaning of what was said by the Blessed One, so I have heard.]
Aṭṭhamaṃ.
