202.Idha pana, bhikkhave, vassūpagato bhikkhu passati sambahule bhikkhū saṅghabhedāya parakkamante. “Monks, there is the case where a monk who has entered for the Rains sees several monks striving for a schism in the Saṅgha.
Tatra ce bhikkhuno evaṃ hoti, 'garuko kho saṅghabhedo vutto bhagavatā; mā mayi sammukhībhūte saṅgho bhijjī'ti, pakkamitabbaṃ. “If the thought occurs to him, ‘The Blessed One says that schism is a serious thing. Don’t let the Saṅgha be split in my presence,’ he may leave.
