Atha āḷavako "suvaco ayaṃ samaṇo, 'nikkhamā'ti vutto nikkhamati, 'pavisā'ti vutto pavisati, yaṃnūnāhaṃ imaṃ samaṇaṃ evamevaṃ sakalarattiṃ kilametvā, pāde gahetvā, pāragaṅgāya khipeyya"nti pāpakaṃ citaṃ uppādetvā catutthavāraṃ āha – "nikkhama samaṇā"ti.

4.2. Then Āḷavaka said thus: “Nikkhama samaṇa” (do come out, O monk!)” for the fourth time, after having caused an evil (pāpaka) intention (citta) to arise (uppādetvā) thus: “Affable (suvaco) is this monk; on having been told to come out, he did so; on having been told to enter, he did accordingly; what if I were to make this monk tired in this and that manner throughout the whole night, seize him by his feet and throw him to the further shore of the river (pāragaṅgā).

И тогда у Алаваки возникла дурная мысль: "этот отшельник смиренный. когда ему говорят "выйди" он выходит, когда "войди" он входит, давай-ка я этого отшельника измотаю, гоняя его туда-сюда всю ночь, взяв за ногу на другую сторону Ганга переброшу" и так он в четвёртый раз сказал "выйди, отшельник".

Taṃ ñatvā bhagavā "na khvāhaṃ ta"nti āha.
|
” After having found (ñatvā) it out, the Blessed One replied thus:– “Na khwāhaṃ taṃ (Indeed, I am not going to do it).

Поняв это Благословенный ответил: "я не выйду" и т.д..

"Evaṃ vutte taduttariṃ karaṇīyaṃ pariyesamāno pañhaṃ pucchitabbaṃ maññissati, taṃ dhammakathāya mukhaṃ bhavissatī"ti ñatvā "na khvāhaṃ ta"nti āha.

” Also having come to know thus also:– “On having been told in reply in this way, seeking what should be done (karanīyaṃ pariyesamāno), he (the ogre) will think of a question which is to be asked; that question (taṃ) will become the mukha (mouth, cause, reason) of teaching (kathā) of the truth (dhamma),” the Blessed One said thus:–“Na khvāhaṃ taṃ (indeed, I am not (going to do) that).

Поняв "Получив такой ответ, пытаясь понять что же нужно сделать, яккха подумает о вопросе, который нужно задать. Это будет "мостиком" к объяснению Дхаммы", поэтому он сказал "я не выйду".

Tattha naiti paṭikkhepe, khoiti avadhāraṇe.
|
” There ‘na’ is thus, in the sense of rejection (paṭikkhepa); Kho is thus in the sense of avadhāraṇa (affirmation, emphasis).

Ahanti attanidassanaṃ, nti hetuvacanaṃ.
|
Ahaṃ is thus in the sense of attanidassana (an attribute or sign of self); taṃ is thus, in the sense of hetu (cause of reason).

Ahaṃ - местоимение 1 лица, taṃ употреблено в смысле причины или основания.

Tenettha "yasmā tvaṃ evaṃ cintesi, tasmā ahaṃ āvuso neva nikkhamissāmi, yaṃ te karaṇīyaṃ, taṃ karohī"ti evamattho daṭṭhabbo.
|
By that, here, the meaning should be seen in this nammer, as follows:– “Since you have planned (cinteti) in this way, therefore, O friend! I shall not come out even; you should do that which should be done by you.
|
Поэтому смысл следует понимать так: "раз ты это задумал, тогда, о друг, я не выйду, делай что должно".
