Te varaṃ labhitvā paramatuṭṭhā bhagavantaṃ upasaṅkamitvā vanditvā āhaṃsu – "icchāma mayaṃ, bhante, bhagavantaṃ temāsaṃ upaṭṭhātuṃ, adhivāsetu no, bhante, bhagavā imaṃ temāsaṃ vassāvāsa"nti.

5. When they had obtained the boon, they were very contented. They approached the Blessed One, and after paying homage to him,they said 'Venerable sir, we want to wait upon the Blessed One for three months. Venerable sir, let the Blessed One consent to this for this three-months' Residence for the Rains '.

5. Заполучив долгожданную награду, братья были крайне удовлетворены ей. Они приблизились к Благословенному и, после оказания ему почестей, произнесли: "Достопочтенный, мы желаем прислуживать Благословенному на протяжении трех месяцев. Достопочтенный, пусть Благословенный позволит нам прислуживать ему в этот сезон дождей (Вассу)".

Adhivāsesi bhagavā tuṇhībhāvena.
|
The Blessed One consented by his silence.

Благословенный молча согласился.

Tato te attano janapade niyuttakapurisassa lekhaṃ pesesuṃ "imaṃ temāsaṃ amhehi bhagavā upaṭṭhātabbo, vihāraṃ ādiṃ katvā sabbaṃ bhagavato upaṭṭhānasambhāraṃ karohī"ti.

6. Thereupon they sent a letter to a man who was an agent of theirs in the country, [203] [saying] ' The Blessed One is to be waited upon by us during these three months. Have a dwelling built and prepare everything needed for waiting on the Blessed One '.

6. Тогда они отправили письмо своему приказчику, жившему в сельской местности: "Благословенный дал свое согласие на наше услужение ему в течение трех месяцев сезона дождей. Организуй постройку жилища и приготовь всё необходимое для нашего услужения Благословенному".

So taṃ sabbaṃ sampādetvā paṭinivedesi.
|
When he had completed it all, he informed them.

Подготовив всё необходимое, он сообщил братьям.

Te kāsāyavatthanivatthā hutvā aḍḍhateyyehi purisasahassehi veyyāvaccakarehi bhagavantaṃ sakkaccaṃ upaṭṭhahamānā janapadaṃ netvā vihāraṃ niyyātetvā vasāpesuṃ.
|
So after clothing themselves in the yellow cloth, they, together with two thousand five hundred male retainers, conducted the Blessed One to the country, waiting on him attentively, and they dedicated the dwelling to him and installed him in it.

И тогда, облачившись в желтое, братья вместе с двумя тысячами пятьюстами мужчинами-прислужниками сопроводили Благословенного в деревню в подготовленное жилище.

Зачем одевать жёлтое одеяние? Оно отшельникам только приличествует...
