Atha bimbisāro dve nāvāyo saṅghaṭetvā maṇḍapaṃ katvā pupphadāmādīhi alaṅkaritvā tattha sabbaratanamayaṃ buddhāsanaṃ paññapesi, bhagavā tattha nisīdi.

Bimbisära had two boats joined and a pavilion built on them decorated with festoons of flowers, etc., and there he had an Enlightened One's throne, made of every kind of jewel, prepared. The Blessed One took his seat upon it,

Бимбисара велел соединить два судна и построить на них павильон, украшенный букетами цветов и прочим. Там был приготовлен трон для Благословенного со всевозможными драгоценными камнями. Благословенный воссел на него.

Pañca satā bhikkhūpi nāvaṃ āruhitvā yathānurūpaṃ nisīdiṃsu.
|
and the five hundred bhikkhus boarded the boat, each taking the seat that became him.
|
500 монахов взошли на судно, заняв свои места.

Rājā bhagavantaṃ anugacchanto galappamāṇaṃ udakaṃ ogāhetvā "yāva, bhante, bhagavā āgacchati, tāvāhaṃ idheva gaṅgātīre vasissāmī"ti vatvā nivatto.
|
Then the king followed the Blessed One down into the river till the water was up to his neck, and he said ' Venerable sir, I shall reside here on the banks of the Ganges till the Blessed One comes ', and he turned back.

Затем король вошёл в реку до того, как вода стала ему по шею и сказал: "Почтенный, я останусь тут на берегу Ганга пока Благословенный не вернётся" и повернул назад.

Upari devatā yāva akaniṭṭhabhavanā pūjaṃ akaṃsu.
|
Deities as far up as the realm of the Akanittha (Not-Junior)[Divinities in the Pure Abodes] did honour to him from above,

Heṭṭhāgaṅgānivāsino kambalassatarādayo nāgarājāno pūjaṃ akaṃsu.
|
and Kambala and Assatara Näga [-Serpents] and others living in the Ganges did honour to him from below.

А Наги Камбала и Ассатара и другие из живущих в Ганге выражали ему почтение снизу.

Evaṃ mahatiyā pūjāya bhagavā yojanamattaṃ addhānaṃ gaṅgāya gantvā vesālikānaṃ sīmantaraṃ paviṭṭho.
|
When the Blessed One had travelled on the Ganges for one league with this great honour, he crossed the Vesälians' boundary.
|
Когда Благословенный прошёл одну йоджану по Гангу со всеми этими огромными почестями, он пересёк границу страны Весали.
