Ayaṃ panettha saṅkhepattho – yathā hi indakhīlo gambhīranematāya pathavissito catubbhi vātehi asampakampiyo siyā, imampi sappurisaṃ tathūpamameva vadāmi, yo ariyasaccāni avecca passati.

But here is the meaning [of these lines] in brief. 80.Just as a locking-post deep-planted because of the depth of its base in the earth would be unshakable by the four winds, so too, I say, is this true man who sees the Noble Truths by undergoing.

Таково краткое объяснение этих трёх строк: как крепёжный столб, глубоко засаженный благодаря глубине его вкопанной в землю части, будет непоколебим под дуновением четырёх ветров, так, говорю я, и этот достойный человек, который видит реальности для благородных путём [личного] переживания.

Yasmā sopi indakhīlo viya catūhi vātehi sabbatitthiyavādavātehi asampakampiyo hoti, tamhā dassanā kenaci kampetuṃ vā cāletuṃ vā asakkuṇeyyo.
|
Because just as a locking-post [is unshaken] by the four winds, so he too is unshaken by all other-sectarian winds and is incapable of being shaken or made to fall from that seeing by anyone at all.

Потому что как крепёжный столб не колеблется под дуновением четырёх ветров, так и он не колеблется ветрами других учений и не способен заколебаться или отойти от этого видения [реальностей для благородных] под влиянием кого-либо.
