Kevalakappanti ettha kevalasaddo anavasesayebhuyyaabyāmissānatirekadaḷhatthavisaṃyogādianekattho.

74. The whole of (kevalakappam): now the word kevala has many meanings such as remainderless, the most part, unmixed, with nothing extra, firm, dissociation, and so on.

Tathā hissa "kevalaparipuṇṇaṃ parisuddhaṃ brahmacariya"nti evamādīsu (pārā. 1) anavasesatā attho.
|
For in such passages as ' A Divine Life as utterly (kevala) perfect and pure... ’ (D. i. 62) the meaning is remainderlessness (anavasesata).

"Kevalakappā ca aṅgamāgadhā pahūtaṃ khādanīyaṃ bhojanīyaṃ ādāya upasaṅkamissantī"ti evamādīsu (mahāva. 43) yebhuyyatā.

In such passages as ‘ The whole (kevalakappa) of Anga and Magadha will come bringing quantities of food ’ (Vin. i. 27) it is the most part (yebhuyyata).
