359.Tena kho pana samayena āyasmato mahākassapassa paṃsukūlakato garuko hoti.

Now at that time Ven Mahā Kassapa’s (robe) made of cast-off cloth became heavy.

Bhagavato etamatthaṃ ārocesuṃ.
|
They reported the matter to the Blessed One.
|
|
|
Anujānāmi, bhikkhave, suttalūkhaṃ kātunti.
|
“Monks, I allow that a rough stitch be made.”
|
|
|
Vikaṇṇo hoti.
|
It got frayed (uneven/worn) edges.
|
|
|
Bhagavato etamatthaṃ ārocesuṃ.
|
They reported the matter to the Blessed One.
|
|
|
Anujānāmi, bhikkhave, vikaṇṇaṃ uddharitunti.
|
“Monks, I allow that the uneven edge be removed.”
|
|
|
Suttā okiriyanti.
|
The stitches came out.
|
|
|

They reported the matter to the Blessed One.

Anujānāmi, bhikkhave, anuvātaṃ paribhaṇḍaṃ āropetunti.
