        Atha kho dhanañjāni brāhmaṇo aññataraṃ purisaṃ āmantesi – "ehi tvaṃ, ambho purisa, yena bhagavā tenupasaṅkama; upasaṅkamitvā mama vacanena bhagavato pāde sirasā vandāhi – 'dhanañjāni, bhante, brāhmaṇo ābādhiko dukkhito bāḷhagilāno.

                                                	Then he told a man: "Come, good man, go to the Blessed One, pay homage in my name with your head at his feet, and say: 'Venerable sir, the brahmin Dhananjani is afflicted, suffering, and gravely ill;

        So bhagavato pāde sirasā vandatī'ti.

                                                	Then say thus: 'It would be good, venerable sir, if the venerable Sariputta would come to the house of the brahmin Dhananjani, out of compassion.'"

        "Evaṃ, bhante"ti kho so puriso dhanañjānissa brāhmaṇassa paṭissutvā yena bhagavā tenupasaṅkami; upasaṅkamitvā bhagavantaṃ abhivādetvā ekamantaṃ nisīdi.

                                                	"Yes, venerable sir," the man replied, and he went to the Blessed One, and after paying homage to the Blessed One, he sat down at one side

                                                	"It would be good, venerable sir, if the venerable Sariputta would come to the residence of the brahmin Dhananjani, out of compassion."

        Adhivāsesi kho āyasmā sāriputto tuṇhībhāvena.
