But in the four-constituent becoming there is no arising of the first jhāna, etc.,
|

Tasmā na sakkā tattha samāpajjitunti.
|
and so it is not possible to attain it there.
|

|
Keci pana "vatthussa abhāvā"ti vadanti.
|
But some say that is because of the lack of a physical basis [for the mind there].12
