пали Thanissaro bhikkhu - english Комментарии
70.Evaṃ me sutaṃ – ekaṃ samayaṃ bhagavā kosambiyaṃ viharati ghositārāme. I have heard that on one occasion the Blessed One was staying near Kosambī at Ghosita’s monastery.
Tena kho pana samayena rañño utenassa [udenassa (sī. syā. pī.)] uyyānagatassa antepuraṃ daḍḍhaṃ hoti, pañca ca itthisatāni [pañca itthisatāni (sī. syā. pī.)] kālaṅkatāni honti sāmāvatīpamukhāni. And on that occasion the inner quarters of King Udena’s royal park had burned down, and 500 women, headed by Sāmāvatī, had died.
Atha kho sambahulā bhikkhū pubbaṇhasamayaṃ nivāsetvā pattacīvaramādāya kosambiṃ piṇḍāya pāvisiṃsu. Then in the early morning, a large number of monks adjusted their under robes and–carrying their bowls & robes–went into Kosambī for alms.
Kosambiyaṃ piṇḍāya caritvā pacchābhattaṃ piṇḍapātapaṭikkantā yena bhagavā tenupasaṅkamiṃsu; upasaṅkamitvā bhagavantaṃ abhivādetvā ekamantaṃ nisīdiṃsu. Having gone for alms in Kosambī, after the meal, returning from their alms round, they went to the Blessed One and, on arrival, having bowed down to him, sat to one side.
Ekamantaṃ nisinnā kho te bhikkhū bhagavantaṃ etadavocuṃ – "idha, bhante, rañño utenassa uyyānagatassa antepuraṃ daḍḍhaṃ, pañca ca itthisatāni kālaṅkatāni sāmāvatīpamukhāni. As they were sitting there, they said to the Blessed One, “Lord, the inner quarters of King Udena’s royal park have burned down, and 500 women, headed by Sāmāvatī, have died.
Tāsaṃ, bhante, upāsikānaṃ kā gati ko abhisamparāyo"ti? What is the destination of those female lay followers? What is their future course?”
"Santettha, bhikkhave, upāsikāyo sotāpannā, santi sakadāgāminiyo, santi anāgāminiyo. “Monks, among those female lay followers are stream-winners, once-returners, & non-returners.
Sabbā tā, bhikkhave, upāsikāyo anipphalā kālaṅkatā"ti. All of those female lay followers, monks, died not without [noble] fruit.”
Atha kho bhagavā etamatthaṃ viditvā tāyaṃ velāyaṃ imaṃ udānaṃ udānesi – Then, on realizing the significance of that, the Blessed One on that occasion exclaimed:
"Mohasambandhano loko, bhabbarūpova dissati; Bound round with delusion, the world only appears to be competent.
Upadhibandhano [upadhisambandhano (ka. sī.)] bālo, tamasā parivārito; Bound with acquisitions, foolish, surrounded by darkness,
Sassatoriva [sassati viya (ka. sī.)] khāyati, passato natthi kiñcana"nti. dasamaṃ; it seems eternal, but for one who sees, there is nothing.
Tassuddānaṃ –
Dve bhaddiyā dve ca sattā, lakuṇḍako taṇhākhayo;
Papañcakhayo ca kaccāno, udapānañca utenoti.
Cūḷavaggo [cullavaggo (sī.), cūlavaggo (pī.)] sattamo niṭṭhito.
