"Anamataggoyaṃ, bhikkhave, saṃsāro.
|
“Bhikkhus, this saṃsara is without discoverable beginning.
|
"Монахи, у этой сансары нет различимого начала.
|
|
|
Pubbā koṭi na paññāyati avijjānīvaraṇānaṃ sattānaṃ taṇhāsaṃyojanānaṃ sandhāvataṃ saṃsarataṃ.
|
A first point is not discerned of beings roaming and wandering on hindered by ignorance and fettered by craving….
|
Не распознаётся начальная точка скитающихся и блуждающих существ, сдерживаемых неведением и связанных жаждой.
|
|
|
Seyyathāpi, bhikkhave, sā gaddulabaddho daḷhe khīle vā thambhe vā upanibaddho.
|
“Suppose, bhikkhus, a dog tied up on a leash was bound to a strong post or pillar.
|
Это подобно собаке на привязи, другой конец который привязан к крепкому столбу или колу.
|
|
|
So gacchati cepi tameva khīlaṃ vā thambhaṃ vā upagacchati; tiṭṭhati cepi tameva khīlaṃ vā thambhaṃ vā upatiṭṭhati; nisīdati cepi tameva khīlaṃ vā thambhaṃ vā upanisīdati; nipajjati cepi tameva khīlaṃ vā thambhaṃ vā upanipajjati.

If it walks, it walks close to that post or pillar. If it stands, it stands close to that post or pillar. If it sits down, it sits down close to that post or pillar. If it lies down, it lies down close to that post or pillar.

Если она ходит, то она ходит рядом с этим столбом или колом. Если она стоит, она стоит рядом с этим столбом или колом. Если она сидит, она сидит рядом с тем столбом или колом. Если она лежит, то она лежит рядом с этим столбом или колом.

Evameva kho, bhikkhave, assutavā puthujjano rūpaṃ 'etaṃ mama, esohamasmi, eso me attā'ti samanupassati.
|
“So too, bhikkhus, the uninstructed worldling regards form thus: ‘This is mine, this I am, this is my self.’
|
Точно так же, о монахи, необученный простолюдин считает в отношении тела: "это моё, я являюсь этим, это является мной".
|

|
Vedanaṃ… saññaṃ… saṅkhāre… viññāṇaṃ 'etaṃ mama, esohamasmi, eso me attā'ti samanupassati.
|
He regards feeling … perception … volitional formations … consciousness thus: ‘This is mine, this I am, this is my self.’
|
В отношении ощущения... раcпознавания... умственных конструкций... сознания он считает "это моё, я являюсь этим, это является мной".

|
So gacchati cepi ime pañcupādānakkhandhe upagacchati; tiṭṭhati cepi ime pañcupādānakkhandhe upatiṭṭhati; nisīdati cepi ime pañcupādānakkhandhe upanisīdati; nipajjati cepi ime pañcupādānakkhandhe upanipajjati.

If he walks, he walks close to those five aggregates subject to clinging. If he stands, he stands close to those five aggregates subject to clinging. If he sits down, he sits down close to those five aggregates subject to clinging. If he lies down, he lies down close to those five aggregates subject to clinging.

Если он ходит, то он ходит рядом с этими пятью совокупностями. Если он стоит, он стоит рядом с этими пятью совокупностями. Если он сидит, он сидит рядом с этими пятью совокупностями. Если он лежит, он лежит рядом с этими пятью совокупностями.

Tasmātiha, bhikkhave, abhikkhaṇaṃ sakaṃ cittaṃ paccavekkhitabbaṃ – 'dīgharattamidaṃ cittaṃ saṃkiliṭṭhaṃ rāgena dosena mohenā'ti.
|
“Therefore, bhikkhus, one should often reflect upon one’s own mind thus: ‘For a long time this mind has been defiled by lust, hatred, and delusion.’
|
Поэтому, о монахи, следует часто рефлексировать о своём уме: "уже долгое время этот ум загрязнён страстью, отвращением и неведением".
|

|
Cittasaṃkilesā, bhikkhave, sattā saṃkilissanti; cittavodānā sattā visujjhanti.
|
Through the defilements of the mind beings are defiled; with the cleansing of the mind beings are purified.
|
Существа, о монахи, загрязняются загрязнениями ума и очищаются очищением ума.
|
|
|
"Diṭṭhaṃ vo, bhikkhave, caraṇaṃ nāma citta"nti?
|
"Monks, have you ever seen a moving contraption?"
|
|
|
|
"Evaṃ, bhante".
|
"Yes, lord."
|
|
|
|
"Tampi kho, bhikkhave, caraṇaṃ nāma cittaṃ citteneva cittitaṃ.
|
"That moving contraption was created by the mind.
|
|
|
|
Tenapi kho, bhikkhave, caraṇena cittena cittaññeva cittataraṃ.
|
And this mind is even more variegated than a moving contraption.
|
|
|
|
Tasmātiha, bhikkhave, abhikkhaṇaṃ sakaṃ cittaṃ paccavekkhitabbaṃ – 'dīgharattamidaṃ cittaṃ saṃkiliṭṭhaṃ rāgena dosena mohenā'ti.
|
Thus one should reflect on one's mind with every moment: 'For a long time has this mind been defiled by passion, aversion, & delusion.'
|
|
|
|
Cittasaṃkilesā, bhikkhave, sattā saṃkilissanti; cittavodānā sattā visujjhanti.
|
From the defilement of the mind are beings defiled. From the purification of the mind are beings purified.
|
|
|
|
"Nāhaṃ, bhikkhave, aññaṃ ekanikāyampi samanupassāmi evaṃ cittaṃ.
|
|
|
|
|
Yathayidaṃ, bhikkhave, tiracchānagatā pāṇā, tepi kho, bhikkhave, tiracchānagatā pāṇā citteneva cittitā, tehipi kho, bhikkhave, tiracchānagatehi pāṇehi cittaññeva cittataraṃ.
|
"Monks, I can imagine no one group of beings more variegated than that of common animals. Common animals are created by mind. And the mind is even more variegated than common animals.
|
|
|
|
Tasmātiha, bhikkhave, abhikkhaṇaṃ sakaṃ cittaṃ paccavekkhitabbaṃ – 'dīgharattamidaṃ cittaṃ saṃkiliṭṭhaṃ rāgena dosena mohenā'ti.
|
Thus one should reflect on one's mind with every moment: 'For a long time has this mind been defiled by passion, aversion, & delusion.'

"Seyyathāpi, bhikkhave, rajako vā cittakārako vā rajanāya vā lākhāya vā haliddiyā vā nīliyā vā mañjiṭṭhāya [mañjeṭṭhāya (sī. syā. kaṃ.), mañjeṭṭhiyā (pī.)] vā suparimaṭṭhe phalake vā bhittiyā vā dussapaṭṭe vā itthirūpaṃ vā purisarūpaṃ vā abhinimmineyya sabbaṅgapaccaṅgiṃ; evameva kho, bhikkhave, assutavā puthujjano rūpaññeva abhinibbattento abhinibbatteti, vedanaññeva - pe - saññaññeva… saṅkhāre yeva… viññāṇaññeva abhinibbattento abhinibbatteti.

"It's just as when — there being dye, lac, yellow orpiment, indigo, or crimson — a dyer or painter would paint the picture of a woman or a man, complete in all its parts, on a well-polished panel or wall, or on a piece of cloth; in the same way, an uninstructed, run-of-the-mill person, when creating, creates nothing but form... feeling... perception... fabrications... consciousness.

Taṃ kiṃ maññatha, bhikkhave, rūpaṃ niccaṃ vā aniccaṃ vā"ti?
|
"Now what do you think, monks — Is form constant or inconstant?"
|
|
|
|
"Aniccaṃ, bhante".
|
"Inconstant, lord."
|
|
|
|
"Vedanā… saññā… saṅkhārā… viññāṇaṃ - pe - "tasmātiha, bhikkhave, evaṃ passaṃ - pe - nāparaṃ itthattāyāti pajānātī"ti.
