Comm. NT: 8. On certain occasions, when the going forth was given by the Buddha with only the words, “Ehi bhikkhu (Come, bhikkhu),” owing to the disciple’s past merit robes appeared miraculously upon him (see e.g. Vin Mahāvagga, Kh. 1).
