Nyanamoli thera | Through developing loving-kindness towards her he was fighting against the wall all the night.1 |
1. “‘Fighting against the wall’: having undertaken the precepts of virtue and sat down on a seat in his room with the door locked, he was developing loving-kindness. Blinded by lust arisen under cover of the loving-kindness, he wanted to go to his wife, and without noticing the door he beat on the wall in his desire to get out even by breaking the wall down” (Vism-mhṭ 286).
