Ayaṃ pana adhippāyayojanā – yathā koci nikkujjitaṃ ukkujjeyya, evaṃ saddhammavimukhaṃ asaddhammapatitaṃ maṃ asaddhammā vuṭṭhāpentena, yathā paṭicchannaṃ vivareyya; evaṃ kassapassa bhagavato sāsanantaradhānā pabhuti micchādiṭṭhigahanapaṭicchannaṃ sāsanaṃ vivarantena, yathā mūḷhassa maggaṃ ācikkheyya, evaṃ kummaggamicchāmaggapaṭipannassa me saggamokkhamaggaṃ ācikkhantena, yathā andhakāre telapajjotaṃ dhāreyya, evaṃ mohandhakāranimuggassa me buddhādiratanarūpāni apassato tappaṭicchādakamohandhakāraviddhaṃsakadesanāpajjotadhāraṇena mayhaṃ bhotā gotamena etehi pariyāyehi desitattā anekapariyāyena dhammo pakāsito.

Вот объяснение намерения: как кто-то поставленное кверх ногами переворачивает, так пренебрегшего истинной доктриной придерживавшегося неистинной доктрины меня от неистинной доктрины отвратил, как раскрывают скрытое - с момента исчезновения системы благословенного Кассапы открыл систему скрытую чащей ложных взглядов; как заблудшему указывают путь - мне, пошедшему по неправильному пути ложной доктрины указал путь к счастливым мирам и освобождению; как в темноту внесли светильник - как погружённому в слепоту неведения меня, не видевшего Будду и другие драгоценности его наставление является разрушителем того покрывала слепоты неведения. Почтенный Готама раскрыл мне истину различными способами, показанными с помощью этих способов. |

2.3. This, however, is the interpretation of the significance:–According as some one would upturn (ukkujjeyya) what had been turned with its face downwares (nikkujjita), in this way, by making me who had fallen into heresy (asaddhamma) which constitutes the turning away (vimukha) from the excellent truth (saddhamma), rise up (vuṭṭhāpentena); according as he would open out what had been covered and concealed, in this way, by the opening of the sāsana (dispensation) which had been covered and concealed by the forest of heresy (micchādiṭṭhigahana) beginning (pabhuti) from the disappearance of despensation (sāsanantaradhānā) of the Blessed One Kassapa; according as one would inform the right road to one who had lose his way, in this way, by informing me, who had entered upon a wrong journey and the path of heresy the path to heaven (sagga) and the way of escape from saṃsāra; according as one would carry an oil-lamp lighted in darkness, in this way, owing to the condition of having taught to me by holding for me the shining light (pajjota) of his desanā (teaching) which constitutes the destroyer of darkness of delusion which covered and concealed it to me who did not see the visible forms of such gems as begun with Buddha since I was submerged (nimugga) in the darkness of delusion, by Lord Gotama by means of these pariyāya (methods); the truth (dhamma) had been made manifest by many a manner (pareyāya). |
