Comm. KT: 1. The term garudhamma is used to refer to saṅghādisesa offenses for the monks, but is also the name for the eight rules of respect for bhikkhunīs. This passage could mean either. For the bhikkhunīs, both saṅghādisesa and garu-dhamma offenses have a penance of two weeks, but do not have the period of probation that the monks do in the case of concealing the offense.
