пали 83.Tena kho pana samayena bhikkhū ācariyupajjhāyesu pakkantesupi vibbhantesupi kālaṅkatesupi pakkhasaṅkantesupi nissayapaṭippassaddhiyo na jānanti.
Khematto Bhikkhu Now at that time, monks—when their teachers had gone away, renounced the training, died, or gone over to (another) faction1—did not know if their dependence had lapsed.

Comm. KT: 1. According to the Commentary, this means another religion, but it could also mean another faction in a split Saṅgha.
