306. Tena samayena buddho bhagavā sāvatthiyaṃ viharati jetavane anāthapiṇḍikassa ārāme. Tena kho pana samayena tiṃsamattā pāveyyakā [pāṭheyyakā (sī. syā.)] bhikkhū, sabbe āraññikā sabbe piṇḍapātikā sabbe paṃsukūlikā sabbe tecīvarikā sāvatthiṃ āgacchantā bhagavantaṃ dassanāya upakaṭṭhāya vassūpanāyikāya nāsakkhiṃsu sāvatthiyaṃ vassūpanāyikaṃ sambhāvetuṃ; antarāmagge sākete vassaṃ upagacchiṃsu. Te ukkaṇṭhitarūpā vassaṃ vasiṃsu – āsanneva no bhagavā viharati ito chasu yojanesu, na ca mayaṃ labhāma bhagavantaṃ dassanāyāti. Atha kho te bhikkhū vassaṃvuṭṭhā, temāsaccayena katāya pavāraṇāya, deve vassante, udakasaṅgahe udakacikkhalle okapuṇṇehi cīvarehi kilantarūpā yena sāvatthi jetavanaṃ anāthapiṇḍikassa ārāmo, yena bhagavā tenupasaṅkamiṃsu; upasaṅkamitvā bhagavantaṃ abhivādetvā ekamantaṃ nisīdiṃsu. Āciṇṇaṃ kho panetaṃ buddhānaṃ bhagavantānaṃ āgantukehi bhikkhūhi saddhiṃ paṭisammodituṃ. Atha kho bhagavā te bhikkhū etadavoca – "kacci, bhikkhave, khamanīyaṃ, kacci yāpanīyaṃ, kacci samaggā sammodamānā avivadamānā phāsukaṃ vassaṃ vasittha, na ca piṇḍakena kilamitthā"ti? "Khamanīyaṃ, bhagavā; yāpanīyaṃ, bhagavā; samaggā ca mayaṃ, bhante, sammodamānā avivadamānā vassaṃ vasimhā, na ca piṇḍakena kilamimhā. Atha kho bhagavā etasmiṃ nidāne etasmiṃ pakaraṇe dhammiṃ kathaṃ katvā bhikkhū āmantesi – "anujānāmi, bhikkhave, vassaṃvuṭṭhānaṃ bhikkhūnaṃ kathinaṃ [kaṭhinaṃ (sī. syā.)] attharituṃ. Atthatakathinānaṃ vo, bhikkhave, pañca kappissanti – anāmantacāro, asamādānacāro, gaṇabhojanaṃ, yāvadatthacīvaraṃ, yo ca tattha cīvaruppādo so nesaṃ bhavissatīti. 306.Tena samayena buddho bhagavā sāvatthiyaṃ viharati jetavane anāthapiṇḍikassa ārāme. At that time the awakened one, the Lord was staying at Sāvatthī in the Jeta Grove in Anāthapiṇḍika’s monastery. Now at that time the Buddha, the Blessed One, was staying near Sāvatthī, in Jeta’s Grove, Anāthapiṇḍika’s Monastery. Tena kho pana samayena tiṃsamattā pāveyyakā [pāṭheyyakā (sī. syā.)] bhikkhū, sabbe āraññikā sabbe piṇḍapātikā sabbe paṃsukūlikā sabbe tecīvarikā sāvatthiṃ āgacchantā bhagavantaṃ dassanāya upakaṭṭhāya vassūpanāyikāya nāsakkhiṃsu sāvatthiyaṃ vassūpanāyikaṃ sambhāvetuṃ; antarāmagge sākete vassaṃ upagacchiṃsu. Now at that time as many as thirty monks of Pāvā, all forest-dwellers, all almsmen, all wearers of rag-robes, all wearers of the three robes, going to Sāvatthī so as to see the Lord when the beginning of the rains was approaching, were unable to reach Sāvatthī for the beginning of the rains; they entered upon the rains on the way, at Sāketa. And at that time thirty monks from Pāva—all of them wilderness dwellers; all of them almsfood eaters; all of them cast-off cloth wearers; all of them triple-robe wearers—going to Sāvatthī to see the Blessed One as the time for entering for the Rains was nearing, were unable to reach Sāvatthī in time to enter for the Rains. Along the road, at Sāketa, they entered for the Rains. В то время целых тридцать монахов из Павы, все лесные жители, все питающиеся подаянием, все носившие одежды из лохмотьев, все носившие только три части одеяния, шли в Саваттхи с визитом к Благословенному. Te ukkaṇṭhitarūpā vassaṃ vasiṃsu – āsanneva no bhagavā viharati ito chasu yojanesu, na ca mayaṃ labhāma bhagavantaṃ dassanāyāti. Atha kho te bhikkhū vassaṃvuṭṭhā, temāsaccayena katāya pavāraṇāya, deve vassante, udakasaṅgahe udakacikkhalle okapuṇṇehi cīvarehi kilantarūpā yena sāvatthi jetavanaṃ anāthapiṇḍikassa ārāmo, yena bhagavā tenupasaṅkamiṃsu; upasaṅkamitvā bhagavantaṃ abhivādetvā ekamantaṃ nisīdiṃsu. Then these monks having, after the lapse of three months, kept the rains, after the Invitation had been carried out, while the god was raining, while waters were gathering, while swamps were forming, with drenched robes and in a state of weariness approached Sāvatthī, the Jeta Grove, Anāthapiṇḍika’s monastery, the Lord; having approached, having greeted the Lord, they sat down at a respectful distance. Then the monks, having completed the Rains after the passing of three months, when the Invitation was done, went to Sāvatthī as the devas were raining down, through standing water and mud, with their robes soaked, looking exhausted, and went to Jeta’s Grove, Anāthapiṇḍika’s Monastery, and to the Blessed One. On arrival, they bowed down to him and sat to one side. Āciṇṇaṃ kho panetaṃ buddhānaṃ bhagavantānaṃ āgantukehi bhikkhūhi saddhiṃ paṭisammodituṃ. Now it is the custom for awakened ones, for Lords to exchange friendly greetings with in-coming monks. It is customary for Buddhas, Blessed Ones, to exchange pleasantries with incoming monks. У благословенных будд есть обычай обмениваться дружественными приветствиями с приходящими монахами.
Atha kho bhagavā te bhikkhū etadavoca – "kacci, bhikkhave, khamanīyaṃ, kacci yāpanīyaṃ, kacci samaggā sammodamānā avivadamānā phāsukaṃ vassaṃ vasittha, na ca piṇḍakena kilamitthā"ti? So the Lord spoke thus to these monks: “I hope, monks, that things went well with you, I hope you had enough to support life, I hope that, in unity, being on friendly terms and harmonious, you spent a comfortable rainy season and did not go short of almsfood? ” Then the Blessed One said to the monks “Is it agreeable, monks? Are you getting by? "Khamanīyaṃ, bhagavā; yāpanīyaṃ, bhagavā; samaggā ca mayaṃ, bhante, sammodamānā avivadamānā vassaṃ vasimhā, na ca piṇḍakena kilamimhā. “Things did go well with us, Lord, we had enough to support life, Lord, and in unity we, Lord, being on friendly terms and harmonious, spent the rainy season and did not go short of almsfood. “It’s agreeble, O Blessed One. Here are we, Lord, as many as thirty monks of Pāvā, coming to Sāvatthī so as to see the Lord, (but) when the beginning of the rains was approaching, we were unable to reach Sāvatthī for the beginning of the rains; we entered on the rains on the way, at Sāketa. “Lord, we thirty monks from Pāva, coming to Sāvatthī to see the Blessed One as the time for entering for the Rains was nearing, were unable to reach Sāvatthī in time to enter for the Rains. Atha kho bhagavā etasmiṃ nidāne etasmiṃ pakaraṇe dhammiṃ kathaṃ katvā bhikkhū āmantesi – "anujānāmi, bhikkhave, vassaṃvuṭṭhānaṃ bhikkhūnaṃ kathinaṃ [kaṭhinaṃ (sī. syā.)] attharituṃ. Then the Lord, on this occasion, having given dhamma-talk addressed the monks, saying: “I allow you, monks, to make up kaṭhina-cloth when monks have completed the rains. Then the Blessed One, having given a Dhamma talk with regard to this cause, to this incident, addressed the monks: “I allow that the kaṭhina be spread by monks who have completed the Rains.” Тогда Благословенный по этому случаю прочитав наставление по Дхамме обратился к монахам следующими словами: "Я разрешаю вам, монахи, сделать ткань периода одежд, когда монахи закончили сезон дождей.
Atthatakathinānaṃ vo, bhikkhave, pañca kappissanti – anāmantacāro, asamādānacāro, gaṇabhojanaṃ, yāvadatthacīvaraṃ, yo ca tattha cīvaruppādo so nesaṃ bhavissatīti. Five (things) will be allowable to you, monks, when the kaṭhina-cloths have been made up: going (to families for alms) without having asked for permission, walking (for alms) not taking the three robes, a group-meal, a as many robes as you require, and whatever robe-material accrues there, that will be for them. “For those who have spread the kaṭhina, five things will be proper: going away without have asked permission (Pc 46), going away without taking (all three robes) (NP 2), a group meal (Pc 32), (undetermined) robe-cloth as long as is needed/wanted (NP 1, NP 3), and whatever robe-cloth arises there will be theirs. [BMCMv.VIII.24.2Mv.VIII.24.5-6Mv.VIII.32] Когда изготавливаются ткани периода одежд для вас, монахи, разрешаются пять вещей: хождение за подаянием без разрешения, хождение за подаянием не беря все три части одеяния, групповое принятие пищи, количество одежд какое вам нужно, какой материал для одежд был получен, это будет для них.
Atthatakathinānaṃ vo, bhikkhave, imāni pañca kappissanti. These five (things) will be allowable to you, monks, when the kaṭhina-cloths have been made. “For those who have spread the kaṭhina, these five things will be proper.
