Tena kho pana samayena bhikkhuniyo bhikkhūhi saddhiṃ ekato pavārentiyo kolāhalaṃ akaṃsu.

Now at that time nuns, inviting (only) on the one side (of the Order) together with monks, made an uproar.

Bhagavato etamatthaṃ ārocesuṃ.
|
They told this matter to the Lord.
|
|
|
"Na, bhikkhave, bhikkhuniyā bhikkhūhi saddhiṃ ekato pavāretabbaṃ.
|
He said: “Monks, nuns should not invite (only) on the one side together with monks.
|
|
|
Yā pavāreyya, āpatti dukkaṭassā"ti.
|
Whoever should (so) invite, there is an offence of wrong-doing. ”
