"Mā, bhante nāgasena, imaṃ pañhaṃ paṭicchannaṃ katvā dīpehi, vivaṭaṃ pākaṭaṃ katvā dīpehi chandajāto ussāhajāto, yaṃ te sikkhitaṃ, taṃ sabbaṃ etthevākirāhi, etthāyaṃ jano sammūḷho vimatijāto saṃsayapakkhando, bhindetaṃ antodosasalla"nti.

“Do not, revered Nāgasena, illumine this question by concealing it; illumine it by making it open and obvious. With ardour and zeal pour out all that you have learnt about it; people are confused about it, bewildered, fallen into doubt. Break this dart of inner defect.”
‘Do not, venerable Nāgasena, clear up this puzzle by making it dark! Make it open and plain as you elucidate it. With a will, strenuous in endeavour, pour out upon it all that has been taught you. It is a point on which this people is bewildered, plunged into perplexity, lost in doubt. Dissipate this guilty uncertainty; it pierces like a dart!’

"Atthesā, mahārāja, nibbānadhātu santā sukhā paṇītā, taṃ sammāpaṭipanno jinānusiṭṭhiyā saṅkhāre sammasanto paññāya sacchikaroti.
“There is this element of Nibbāna, sire, peaceful, happy, excellent. It is that which he who is practising rightly, comprehending the formations in accordance with the instruction of the Conquerors, realizes by means of wisdom.
‘That principle of Nirvāṇa, O king, so peaceful, so blissful, so delicate, exists. And it is that which he who orders his life aright, grasping the idea of all things (of the conditions, Saṁkhāras) according to the teachings of the Conquerors, realises by his wisdom
– Есть, государь, основа нирваны – покойная, счастливая, возвышенная. Следуя наставлениям Победителя, истинно-делающий ощупывает своей мудростью слагаемые и осуществляет ее.

Yathā, mahārāja, antevāsiko ācariyānusiṭṭhiyā vijjaṃ paññāya sacchikaroti, evameva kho, mahārāja, sammāpaṭipanno jinānusiṭṭhiyā paññāya nibbānaṃ sacchikaroti.
As a pupil, sire, in accordance with the instruction of his teacher realizes a science through wisdom, even so, sire, he who is practising rightly in accordance with the instruction of the Conquerors, realizes Nibbāna by means of wisdom.
—even as a pupil, by his knowledge, makes himself, according to the instruction of his teacher, master of an art.
Скажем, государь, как подмастерье следует наставлениям мастера и осваивает своею мудростью науку, вот точно так же, государь, следуя наставлениям Победителя, истинно-делающий осуществляет нирвану своею мудростью.
