Mā tathāgataṃ yāci, akālodāni, ānanda, tathāgataṃ yācanāyā"ti.
|
Do not entreat the Tathagata, for the time is past, Ananda, for such an entreaty."

Don’t beg the Tathāgata. Now is not the time for begging the Tathāgata. ”
|
Do not beg the Tathagata, it is not the right time for that!'

Dutiyampi kho āyasmā ānando - pe - tatiyampi kho āyasmā ānando bhagavantaṃ etadavoca – "tiṭṭhatu, bhante, bhagavā kappaṃ, tiṭṭhatu sugato kappaṃ bahujanahitāya bahujanasukhāya lokānukampāya atthāya hitāya sukhāya devamanussāna"nti.

50-51. But for a second and a third time, the Venerable Ananda said to the Blessed One: "May the Blessed One remain, O Lord! May the Happy One remain, O Lord, throughout the world-period, for the welfare and happiness of the multitude, out of compassion for the world, for the benefit, well being, and happiness of gods and men!"

A second time… A third time, Ven. Ānanda said to the Blessed One, “Lord, may the Blessed One remain for an eon. May the One Well-Gone remain for an eon—for the benefit of the many, for the happiness of the many, out of sympathy for the world, for the welfare, benefit, & happiness of human beings & devas. ”

3.39.And a second and a third time the Venerable Ananda made the same request.

И во второй раз почтенный Ананда...
и в третий раз почтенный Ананда так сказал Благословенному: "Пусть досточтимый Благословенный останется на срок, пусть Достигший блага останется на срок на благо многих, на счастье многих, из сострадания к миру, на пользу, благо и счастье божеств и людей".

3.39. И вот достопочтенный Ананда во второй раз сказал Благостному: «Пусть Благостный проживет [целый] мировой период, пусть Счастливый проживет [целый] мировой период ради благополучия многих людей, ради счастья многих людей, ради сострадания к миру, ради пользы, благополучия и счастья богов и людей!» «Довольно теперь, Ананда, не проси Татхагату, не время теперь, Ананда, просить Татхагату». И вот достопочтенный Ананда в третий раз сказал Благостному: «Пусть Благостный проживет [целый] мировой период, пусть Счастливый проживет [целый] мировой период ради благополучия многих людей, ради счастья многих людей, ради сострадания к миру, ради пользы, благополучия и счастья богов и людей!»
