“Possessed of form, one sees forms. This is the first emancipation.

Possessing form, one sees forms. That is the first.

Обладая (тонко)материальным он видит материальные [предметы], – таково первое освобождение.
|
Наделенный формой видит формы. Это — первая [ступень] освобождения.

Ajjhattaṃ arūpasaññī bahiddhā rūpāni passati, ayaṃ dutiyo vimokkho.

35. "Being unaware of one's own form, one perceives forms external to oneself; this is the second liberation.

“Not percipient of form internally, one sees forms externally. This is the second emancipation.
|
Not perceiving material forms in oneself, one sees them outside. That is the second.

Без распознавания внутренней материи он видит внешние материальные [предметы], – таково второе освобождение.

Subhanteva adhimutto hoti, ayaṃ tatiyo vimokkho.

36. "Experiencing loveliness, one is intent upon it; [35] this is the third liberation.

“One is intent only on the beautiful. This is the third emancipation.
|
Thinking: "It is beautiful", one becomes intent on it. That is the third.

Он настраивается только на красивое, – таково третье освобождение.
|
Он устремлен к [мысли]: „[Это] прекрасно“. Это — третья [ступень] освобождения.

Sabbaso rūpasaññānaṃ samatikkamā paṭighasaññānaṃ atthaṅgamā nānattasaññānaṃ amanasikārā 'ananto ākāso'ti ākāsānañcāyatanaṃ upasampajja viharati, ayaṃ catuttho vimokkho.
|
37. "By utterly transcending the perceptions of matter, by the disappearance of the perceptions of sense-reaction, and by giving no attention to diversity-perceptions, one becomes aware of, attains to, and abides in the sphere of infinite space; this is the fourth liberation.
|
“With the complete transcending of perceptions of (physical) form, with the disappearance of perceptions of resistance, and not heeding perceptions of multiplicity, (perceiving,) ‘Infinite space,’ one enters and remains in the dimension of the infinitude of space. This is the fourth emancipation.
|
By completely transcending all perception of matter,... thinking: "Space is infinite", one enters and abides in the Sphere of Infinite Space. That is the fourth.

Полностью выйдя за пределы распознавания материи, избавившись от распознавания раздражения, не обращая внимания на распознавание многообразия, думая "пространство безгранично" он входит и пребывает в сфере безграничного пространства, – таково четвертое освобождение.

Всецело преодолев осознавание форм, избавившись от осознавания противодействия, отвлекшись от осознавания множественности, он достигает уровня бесконечности пространства и пребывает [на нем, мысля]: „Пространство бесконечно”. Это — четвертая [ступень] освобождения.

Sabbaso ākāsānañcāyatanaṃ samatikkamma 'anantaṃ viññāṇa'nti viññāṇañcāyatanaṃ upasampajja viharati, ayaṃ pañcamo vimokkho.

38. "By utterly transcending the sphere of infinite space, one becomes aware of, attains to, and abides in the sphere of infinite consciousness; this is the fifth liberation.
|
“With the complete transcending of the dimension of the infinitude of space, (perceiving,) ‘Infinite consciousness,’ one enters and remains in the dimension of the infinitude of consciousness. This is the fifth emancipation.
|
By transcending the Sphere of Infinite Space, thinking: "Consciousness is infinite", one enters and abides in the Sphere of Infinite Consciousness. That is the fifth.

Полностью выйдя за пределы сферы безграничного пространства, думая "сознание безгранично", он входит и пребывает в сфере безграничного сознания, – таково пятое освобождение.
|
Всецело преодолев уровень бесконечности пространства, он достигает уровня бесконечности сознания и пребывает [на нем, мысля]: „Сознание бесконечно“. Это — пятая [ступень] освобождения.

Sabbaso viññāṇañcāyatanaṃ samatikkamma 'natthi kiñcī'ti ākiñcaññāyatanaṃ upasampajja viharati, ayaṃ chaṭṭho vimokkho.

39. "By utterly transcending the sphere of infinite consciousness, one becomes aware of, attains to, and abides in the sphere of nothingness; this is the sixth liberation.
|
“With the complete transcending of the dimension of the infinitude of consciousness, (perceiving,) ‘There is nothing,’ one enters and remains in the dimension of nothingness. This is the sixth emancipation.
|
By transcending the Sphere of Infinite Consciousness, thinking: "There is no thing", one enters and abides in the Sphere of NoThingness. That is the sixth.

Полностью выйдя за пределы сферы безграничного сознания, думая "ничего нет", он входит и пребывает в сфере отсутствия чего бы то ни было, – таково шестое освобождение.
|
Всецело преодолев уровень бесконечности сознания, он достигает уровня отсутствия чего бы то ни было и пребывает [на нем, мысля]: „Не существует ничего“. Это — шестая [ступень] освобождения.

Sabbaso ākiñcaññāyatanaṃ samatikkamma nevasaññānāsaññāyatanaṃ upasampajja viharati.

40. "By utterly transcending the sphere of nothingness, one attains to and abides in the sphere of neither-perception-nor-non-perception;

“With the complete transcending of the dimension of nothingness, one enters and remains in the dimension of neither perception nor non-perception.
|
By transcending the Sphere of No-Thing- ness, one reaches and abides in the Sphere of Neither-Percep- tion-Nor-Non-Perception.
|
Полностью выйдя за пределы сферы отсутствия чего бы то ни было, он входит и пребывает в сфере ни-распознавания-ни-отсутствия-распознавания, –
|
Всецело преодолев уровень отсутствия чего бы то ни было, он достигает уровня ни осознавания, ни отсутствия осознавания и пребывает [на нем].

Ayaṃ sattamo vimokkho.
|
this is the seventh liberation.
|
This is the seventh emancipation.

That is the seventh.

Sabbaso nevasaññānāsaññāyatanaṃ samatikkamma saññāvedayitanirodhaṃ upasampajja viharati, ayaṃ aṭṭhamo vimokkho.

41. "By utterly transcending the sphere of neither-perception-nor-non-perception, one attains to and abides in the cessation of perception and sensation; this is the eighth liberation.
|
“With the complete transcending of the dimension of neither perception nor non-perception, one enters and remains in the cessation of perception and feeling. This is the eighth emancipation.
|
By transcending the Sphere of Neither-Perception-Nor-Non-Perception, one enters and abides in the Cessation of Perception and Feeling. That is the eighth liberation (as Sutta 15, verse 35).

Полностью выйдя за пределы сферы ни-распознавания-ни-отсутствия-распознавания, он входит и пребывает в состоянии прекращения распознавания и ощущения – таково восьмое освобождение.

Всецело преодолев уровень ни осознавания, ни отсутствия осознавания, он достигает уничтожения осознавания и ощущений и пребывает [в этом состоянии].
