Tattha niccaṃ nāma dhuvaṃ sassataṃ yathā taṃ nibbānaṃ, na niccanti aniccaṃ, udayabbayavantaṃ, atthato saṅkhatā dhammāti āha "aniccanti pañcakkhandhā.

“What is called ‘permanent’ is what is lasting, eternal, like Nibbāna. What is called ‘impermanent’ is what is not permanent, and is possessed of rise and fall. He said ‘The five aggregates are “the impermanent,’” signifying that they are formed dhammas as to meaning.

Uppādavayaññathattabhāvā"ti, uppādavayaññathattasabbhāvāti attho.
|
‘Because their essence is rise and fall and change’: the meaning is that their individual essences have rise and fall and change.
|
|
Tattha saṅkhatadhammānaṃ hetupaccayehi uppajjanaṃ ahutvā sambhavo attalābho uppādo.
|
Herein, formed dhammas’ arising owing to cause and condition, their coming to be after non-existence, their acquisition of an individual self (attalābha), is ‘rise.’
|
|
Uppannānaṃ tesaṃ khaṇanirodho vināso vayo.
|
Their momentary cessation when arisen is ‘fall.’
|
|
Jarāya aññathābhāvo aññathattaṃ.
|
|
|
Yathā hi uppādāvatthāya bhinnāya bhaṅgāvatthāyaṃ vatthubhedo natthi, evaṃ ṭhitisaṅkhātāya bhaṅgābhimukhāvatthāyampi vatthubhedo natthi, yattha jarāvohāro.
|
|
|
Tasmā ekassāpi dhammassa jarā yujjati, yā khaṇikajarāti vuccati.
|
|
|
Ekaṃsena ca uppādabhaṅgāvatthāsu vatthuno abhedo icchitabbo, aññathā "añño uppajjati, añño bhijjatī"ti āpajjeyya .
|
|
|
Tayimaṃ khaṇikajaraṃ sandhāyāha "aññathatta"nti.
|
|
|
Yaṃ panettha vattabbaṃ, taṃ parato kathayissāma.
