Comm. NT: 2. Pakkhandati—“enters into is glossed there by anupavisati (enters in Vism-mhṭ (p. 566), which is the sense required and may be taken as based on the idiom in the Suttas, “Cittaṃ pakkhandati pasīdati santiṭṭhati adhimuccati—the mind enters into [that], becomes settled, steady and resolute” (M I 186), which is obviously inappropriate here.
