"So appavattatthāya maggaṃ āyūhati gavesati bhāveti bahulīkaroti, tassa tadatthaṃ sati santiṭṭhati, tadatthaṃ vīriyaṃ santiṭṭhati, tadatthaṃ pīti santiṭṭhati, tassa taṃ cittaṃ aparāparaṃ manasikaroto pavattaṃ samatikkamitvā appavattaṃ okkamati, appavattamanuppatto, mahārāja, sammāpaṭipanno 'nibbānaṃ sacchikarotī'ti vuccatī"ti.

He cultivates, seeks, develops and makes much of the way for the non-occurrence of formations, his mindfulness moulds itself to that goal, his energy moulds itself to that goal, his rapture moulds itself to that goal; by repeated attention his mind, transcending the occurrence of formations, enters on non-occurrence. If he attains the non-occurrence of formations, sire, while he is practising rightly, he is said to realize Nibbāna.”

And he strives with might and main along that path, searches it out, accustoms himself thoroughly to it, to that end does he make firm his self-possession, to that end does he hold fast in effort, to that end does he remain stedfast in love (toward all beings in all the worlds), and still to that does he direct his mind again and again, until gone far beyond the transitory, he gains the Real, the highest fruit (of Arahatship). And when he has gained that, O king, the man who has ordered his life aright has realised, (seen face to face,) Nirvāṇa!’

И он на стезе, ведущей к некружению, упражняется, ищет, осваивается и ее умножает, ради этого утверждается у него памятование, ради этого утверждается усилие, ради этого утверждается радость, и так его непрестанно внимательная мысль преодолевает кружение и вступает в некружение. Когда истинно-делающий достиг некружения, государь, то говорят, что он осуществил нирвану.

“It is good, revered Nāgasena; so it is, therefore do I accept it.”
