Atha kho bhagavā āyasmantaṃ ānandaṃ āmantesi – "tenahānanda, subhaddaṃ pabbājehī"ti.

66. But the Blessed One called the Venerable Ananda and said to him: "Ananda, let Subhadda be given admission into the Order."
|
Then the Blessed One said to Ven. Ānanda, “Very well then, Ānanda, give Subhadda the going forth.”
|
But the Lord said to Ananda: 'Let Subhadda go forth!'
|
Тогда Благословенный обратился к почтенному Ананде: "Ананда, проведи для Субхадды процедуру ухода в бездомную жизнь."
|
И тогда Благостный обратился к достопочтенному Ананде: «В таком случае, Ананда, сделайте Субхадду странником».
|

"Evaṃ, bhante"ti kho āyasmā ānando bhagavato paccassosi.
|
And the Venerable Ananda replied: "So be it, Lord."
|
“As you say, lord,” Ven. Ānanda responded to the Blessed One.
|
'Very good, Lord', said Ananda.
|
"Да будет так, досточтимый", – отвечал Ананда Благословеному
|
«Хорошо, господин», — согласился с Благостным достопочтенный Ананда.

Atha kho subhaddo paribbājako āyasmantaṃ ānandaṃ etadavoca – "lābhā vo, āvuso ānanda; suladdhaṃ vo, āvuso ānanda, ye ettha satthu [satthārā (syā.)] sammukhā antevāsikābhisekena abhisittā"ti.

67. Then the wandering ascetic Subhadda said to the Venerable Ananda: "It is a gain to you, friend Ananda, a blessing, that in the presence of the Master himself you have received the sprinkling of ordination as a disciple."
|
Then Subhadda said to Ven. Ānanda, “It’s a gain for you, Ānanda, a great gain, that you have been anointed here, face-to-face with the Teacher, with the pupil’s anointing. ”47
|
5.30.And Subhadda said to the Venerable Ananda: 'Friend Ananda, it is a great gain for you all, it is very profitable for you, that you have obtained the consecration of discipleship in the Teacher's presence.'
|
Тогда отшельник Субхадда так сказал почтенному Ананде: "Благо тебе, друг Ананда, легко тебе будет обрести [благое рождение], раз ты в присутствии Учителя был посвящён посвящением ученика".

5.30. И тогда странствующий аскет Субхадда так сказал достопочтенному Ананде: «Благо вам, почтенный Ананда, великое благо вам, почтенный Ананда, что вы посвящены здесь посвящением в ученики перед лицом учителя!»

Alattha kho subhaddo paribbājako bhagavato santike pabbajjaṃ, alattha upasampadaṃ.
|
68. So it came about that the wandering ascetic Subhadda, in the presence of the Blessed One, received admission and higher ordination.
|
Then Subhadda the wanderer obtained the going forth in the Blessed One’s presence, he obtained acceptance.
|
Then Subhadda received the going-forth in the Lord's presence, and the ordination.
|
И отшельник Субхадда в присутствии Благословенного прошёл процедуру ухода в бездомную жизнь и получил полноправное членство в монашеском ордене.
|
И так странствующий аскет Субхадда обрел странничество вблизи Благостного, обрел доступ в общину.
|
|
|
Acirūpasampanno kho panāyasmā subhaddo eko vūpakaṭṭho appamatto ātāpī pahitatto viharanto nacirasseva – 'yassatthāya kulaputtā sammadeva agārasmā anagāriyaṃ pabbajanti' tadanuttaraṃ brahmacariyapariyosānaṃ diṭṭheva dhamme sayaṃ abhiññā sacchikatvā upasampajja vihāsi.
|
And from the time of his ordination the Venerable Subhadda remained alone, secluded, heedful, ardent, and resolute. And before long he attained to the goal for which a worthy man goes forth rightly from home to homelessness, the supreme goal of the holy life; and having by himself realized it with higher knowledge, he dwelt therein.
|
And not long after his acceptance—dwelling alone, secluded, heedful, ardent, & resolute—he in no long time entered & remained in the supreme goal of the holy life, for which clansmen rightly go forth from home into homelessness, directly knowing & realizing it for himself in the here & now.
|
And from the moment of his ordination the Venerable Subhadda, alone, secluded, unwearying, zealous and resolute, in a short time attained to that for which young men of good family go forth from the household life into homelessness, that unexcelled culmination of the holy life, having realised it here and now by his own insight,
|
И почтенный Субхадда спустя небольшое время после принятия в монахи, проживая один, в [умственном] уединении, небеспечный, пылкий и целеустремлённый, за небольшое время в этом самом мире собственным знанием постиг и войдя пребывал в той непревзойдённой вершине возвышенной жизни, ради которой выходцы из благородных семей справедливо оставляют мир, уходя из дома в бездомную жизнь.

И вскоре после того как достопочтенный Субхадда обрел доступ в общину, он, предавшись одиночеству, пребывая в усердии, рвении и решимости, скоро сам познал, испытал и обрел в зримом мире ту цель, ради которой люди из славных семейств, оставив дом, странствуют бездомными, — несравненный венец целомудрия —

'Khīṇā jāti, vusitaṃ brahmacariyaṃ, kataṃ karaṇīyaṃ, nāparaṃ itthattāyā'ti abbhaññāsi.
|
He knew: "Destroyed is birth; the higher life is fulfilled; nothing more is to be done, and beyond this life nothing more remains."
|
He knew: “Birth is ended, the holy life fulfilled, the task done. There is nothing further for the sake of this world.”
|
and dwelt therein: 'Birth is destroyed, the holy life has been lived, what had to be done has been done, there is nothing further here.'
|
Он познал: "Положен конец рождению, прожита возвышенная жизнь, выполнено подлежащее выполнению, ничего за этим больше нет."
|
и постиг: «Уничтожено следующее рождение, исполнен [обет] целомудрия, сделано то, что надлежит сделать, нет ничего вслед за этим состоянием».

Aññataro kho panāyasmā subhaddo arahataṃ ahosi.
|
And the Venerable Subhadda became yet another among the arahats,
|
And thus Ven. Subhadda became another one of the arahants,
|
And the Venerable Subhadda became another of the Arahants.
|
И почтенный Субхадда стал одним из арахантов.
|
И так достопочтенный Субхадда стал одним из архатов.
|
|
|
So bhagavato pacchimo sakkhisāvako ahosīti.
|
and he was the last disciple converted by the Blessed One himself.
|
the last of the Blessed One’s direct-witness disciples.
|
He was the last personal disciple of the Lord.446
|
Он стал последним непосредственным учеником Благословенного.
|
Он стал последним учеником, которого Благостный обратил сам.
